We attended a rather inconsolable customer last week. He’d pulled into his local Esso garage, Bournemouth, driving his 7.5 tonne Renault Midland lorry. Unfortunately, he managed to pump 150 litres of unleaded into its tank and didn’t realise the error until he was told the price of the fuel at the till. Due to the bill being considerably smaller than he had been expecting the penny dropped. Thankfully he was advised to call AFF and we were with him within the hour, and 40 minutes later had removed the offending unleaded petrol so he could carry on with his day
